PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Start with the application.

A VFD panel inquiry needs more than a motor power figure. Motor data, load behavior, operating conditions and cable information help define the requested drive-panel arrangement and the interfaces between power equipment, local controls and external automation.

Project uses to discuss

Motor applications requiring adjustable-speed operation

Pump equipment with a defined operating duty

Drive packages integrated with an external control system

CONFIGURATION

The details behind your equipment.

These points help define the project scope. Final equipment specifications are confirmed for the selected configuration.

01

Motor and load requirements

Describe the motor, driven equipment and required operating range so the drive requirements can be assessed.

02

Control modes

Define local and remote operation, speed references and any required process-feedback signals.

03

Power-system considerations

Provide the project requirements for supply interfaces, protection and any specified power-quality measures.

04

Panel thermal and cable conditions

Share ambient conditions, enclosure requirements and motor-cable information for configuration review.

Drive selection, motor compatibility, cooling and any power-quality equipment need project review. Energy savings or suitability for a particular load are not assumed from the panel type.

BUILD YOUR PROJECT BRIEF

Your requirements, ready to discuss.

Enter the information you already have. These are your requested values, not confirmed product ratings.

Leave anything unknown blank. Your entries will be carried into the inquiry, so you won’t need to type them again.

Download this worksheet

State the voltage, phase arrangement and frequency available at the panel.

Provide motor power, current, voltage and other available nameplate information.

Describe the equipment, operating range and expected duty cycle.

List local controls, remote commands, speed references and process-feedback signals.

Provide cable lengths, routing conditions and any specified connection constraints.

Describe temperature conditions, installation location and enclosure protection requirements.

Attach any stated requirements for harmonics, EMC or associated equipment for review.

All fields are optional.

PROJECT DOCUMENTS

Bring the right information together.

Have these documents available when you discuss the equipment with our team.

Motor nameplate and data sheet

Provide the motor information needed to assess the requested drive configuration.

Load and control description

Explain the operating duty and the expected local or remote control behavior.

Power and cable information

Show the incoming supply, motor connections and relevant installation constraints.

PRODUCT QUESTIONS

Before you inquire.

Can a quotation be based on motor power alone?

Please also provide motor current and voltage, the driven load, operating duty and installation conditions. These inputs help define the drive-panel requirements.

Can the panel receive commands from a PLC?

Include the required command signals or communication protocol and the existing PLC details. The proposed interface must be checked against those requirements.

Have a single-line diagram?

Send us your project requirements.
