Mobile Substations

Substation configurations reviewed around the electrical duty, intended relocation method and site connection requirements.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Start with the application.

A mobile substation brief must explain both the power-distribution task and how the equipment is intended to move between locations. Supply the electrical scheme, site conditions and transport constraints so the mobility format and equipment boundaries can be considered together.

Project uses to discuss

Projects with a defined relocation requirement

Temporary distribution inquiries with a specified electrical duty

Equipment packages requiring transport and site-interface review

CONFIGURATION

The details behind your equipment.

These points help define the project scope. Final equipment specifications are confirmed for the selected configuration.

01

Electrical duty

Define the system connections, required capacity, distribution circuits and protection requirements.

02

Mobility format

Describe the intended support or transport arrangement and the relocation conditions the project requires.

03

Site connection interfaces

Provide the planned incoming and outgoing interfaces and the boundary with site equipment.

04

Transport and environmental constraints

State dimensional limits, site-access restrictions and environmental conditions for review.

The term mobile does not confirm a trailer, road approval, lifting arrangement or rapid connection capability. The mobility format and applicable project requirements need specific review.

BUILD YOUR PROJECT BRIEF

Your requirements, ready to discuss.

Enter the information you already have. These are your requested values, not confirmed product ratings.

Leave anything unknown blank. Your entries will be carried into the inquiry, so you won’t need to type them again.

Provide the required incoming and outgoing system characteristics.

State the required capacity and distribution circuit duties.

Describe how the equipment is to be supported, transported and repositioned.

Provide the project or route constraints that the proposed package must be reviewed against.

Describe incoming and outgoing interfaces and existing site-equipment details.

Describe locations, operating conditions and the intended use or relocation pattern.

Identify the requested electrical equipment, transport structure and site-support responsibilities.

All fields are optional.

PROJECT DOCUMENTS

Bring the right information together.

Have these documents available when you discuss the equipment with our team.

Electrical duty and single-line diagram

Define the required power-distribution arrangement and equipment functions.

Transport and access brief

Provide route constraints, site access and the intended relocation method.

Site interface drawings

Show the connection points and the boundary with equipment at each intended location.

PRODUCT QUESTIONS

Before you inquire.

Does mobile mean the equipment is supplied on a road trailer?

The support and transport arrangement must be specified. Include any trailer requirement and relevant project constraints so the proposed format can be reviewed.

Can one unit serve more than one site?

Provide the electrical and physical requirements for each intended location. A common configuration can only be assessed after the different site interfaces are understood.

Have a single-line diagram?
